New Year’s Resolutions

New Year's resolutions...Came across this few days ago while doing surveys on YouthSays website. Ok...I have to admit that this is something new to me. Talk about wants, desires, wishes, I have lots of them every year. It's more on the material aspects. For instance, I want a trip to Taiwan, I want the latest model of Sony Ixus camera series, etc. As for New Year's resolutions, we are supposed to set goals targeting on self-improvement, and work really hard to get there. Commitment, passion and determination are the key factors of success. It's a norm for Americans to make New Year's resolutions every New Year's Eve. For me, this is the very first time I'm trying to make three resolutions of my own:
  1. Score GPA >3.5 to get into the Dean List
  2. Be part of the team in SIFE National Cup Competition
  3. Be more outgoing & confident to speak up
To achieve 1, I have to study hard & get some luck. I did it last sem, how about this sem?
To achieve 2, I have to participate actively in SIFE-related activities. When you show up more, people will know you more.
To achieve 3, I'm doing this right now & I noticed some changes in myself. But I want MORE!!!
By chance, if all of the above are being fulfilled, it'll give me great happiness & satisfaction.

We'll see the results at the end of 2010...Cheers!

1st Day of 2010

Aren't today should be a public holiday? Not for Johor definitely...we still have to attend classes today. Went to Kluang with my gang right after the 3 hours HR Management class ended. Somehow this time when we decided to go there, we just go for it without any planning. Previously, we planned to go to Genting but end up everyone went home. So, it is useless to plan everything ahead if your passion to carry it out gets faded off easily. This is my 2nd trip to Kluang since the last time we served our moral community project there. Like this place quite a lot as I feel familiar with it, especially when I get to explore the surrounding on foot, you will remember every corner better for sure! Had my very first bowling game @ Kluang Parade. Not bad la, at least I striked once (not to mention the numerous time when the ball went into the drain)! By the way, what will you think if I say that I've never been to karaoke, clubbing etc. at this age? Hmm...who cares? I just don't feel like interested in such activities. I'm now involving in those activities which I think is more beneficial as I get to develop myself and also widen my horizons. In fact, I still have lots more to share but I think that's all for today as I have to proceed with my work on LDE. We still have a few problems yet to be settled. Response of participants is the part I concerned and worried the most. However, I'm so grateful that all our CMs are so committed. Thank you guys! Hopefully we all are able to collaborate well with each other in overcoming those problems and what we can do now is pray for its success...
